Great idea and nice implementation, good job guys!
Quote:i wish it would have been there 10 years ago...
10 yrs ago there was ojuice that could do something similar. Or was it dead already?
I found my first couple of groups on Ojuice!
...none of which ever released anything noteworthy. :(
Overcool idea!
Got 4 good replies out of my "PC coder looking for group" post, so thanks, I'll probably be working on demo soon!
In fact, I just deleted my post so I wouldn't have to turn too many people down :).

Already worth it, nice job Garg :)
is also helping unblock my look for original unreleased song for payback entry.
interesting :)
for possible double posting of my offer.. sry!
it just.. happens when you don't get an immediate reply.

would be nice to see old filled requests as a way to see what will be answered.

I just added that feature - now you can "close" posts and write a little postmortem about them in case you feel they were successful!
I think this is a splendid idea. I'm trying it out, and I'm actually trying to come up with some more wanted ads to post! :)
Will definitely post a postmortem when one of these wanted ads is fully completed :)

A social-networking focused site that I wholeheartedly support! Will the wonders never cease? I'm going to keep as many eyeballs as I can on this.
jsyk i gotz the soundtrack for the best demo ever thanks to dascon's post on wanted.scene.org
no hippos were harmed in the process.

i'm weary the site has lost it's initial traction and people will stop using it despite it's couple of success stories and long prior demand.
just trying to raise the question on how it could become more known. the link being in the front page of scene.org is a good start. can't think of any good solution for this.

It's also on the (default) front page of Pouet.
I feel it's kinda hard and non-obvious to see some success stories. There should to be more visible "look, this actually works" signs on the site. :)
"testemonials" section or something?
"i offered to do graphics for a demo on Wanted and that's how i met Gargaj for the first time. After a very pleasant experience making a demo together we decided to take it to the next level. We're now 1.5 years married. Thanks Wanted!"
Due to Wanted I now had the oppertunity to video-edit the Meteorik-Awards together with Unlock. This is really cool, so it seems the website works!
Right. And that's the stuff that shouldn't be hidden in a random pouet thread, but put prominently featured on the website.
See above - when you close a post you can write a success story. It hasn't happened yet.
numtek: so the nominees are presented with a gabber-glitch-noise soundtrack? yaay! ;D
pushing the project to the audience @ random demoparty might help, too
