Help me remember an old 8ch Amiga demo
category: general [glöplog]
Early 1990's. This was one of the first 8-channel demos I ever saw. It was a music disk that may have been a promo demo for the 8-channel tracker Oktalyzer.
One of the parts had a spinning wireframe cube where each side represented one of the eight channels used in the tune.
Anyone?

A cube with 8 sides? :)

The sides or the channels?
Could be a 6-channel tune? Oktalyzer got 6-channel mode too.
Or, maybe, two channels were left outside the cube.
:)
I didn't say all eight channels were used.
Yes a cube has 8 sides - top, bottom, left, right, front, back, outside, and finally inside.
Maybe it's that one https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=13459 ?
could be... and that cube even got 12 sides!
Psycho +1 :)
Sorry for hijacking (f you think so), but I remember seeing a demo/intro adding channel "oscilloscopes" , perhaps green line vectors, the big deal being that after 4 channels it just kept on adding more channels! :) Probably up to 8 but memory is very vague since it was probably from 1990 too.
A staggering piece of information is that only 445 Oktalyzer modules have been preserved to date, which should make either demo quite rare I think :)
Neither demo/intro is one of these two. Seems to me like PD disks are a better search target. Right?

p.s. The intro I'm thinking of was probably just a big black screen with music and small oscilloscopes appearing at successive positions on the screen, nothing more. OK, maybe a small scrolltext but no "parts" or "effects" IIRC.

BUSTEEED! hehe. :)
Not really. It *could* be an 8 channel tune with only 6 tracks in use!
Anyway, 10 points to hitchhikr! :D Thanks!
