How much such Amigas are worth?
category: offtopic [glöplog]
In my parents old flat I've left nicely expanded Amiga1200 & CD32. I still have urges to keep them and maybe some day use again (even for watching demos which on real hardware feel so much better), but also it's a pity that they stand there uselessly while someone could have a nice use of them. Also it seems that such hardware gets expensive and rare (no offers on popular auction sites).
CD32 has a ProModule expansion with floppy, HDD, and 68882 coprocessor.
Amiga 1200 is in a tower, with Apollo1240 expansion (68040 overclocked to 50MHz), 48MB of RAM, and ATA expansion with PIO4 transfers support. There's also a multisync monitor which can display all the native modes (from 320x200 up to 1280x512, non-interlaced productivity modes, interlaced 800x600, etc.).
Also I have a bunch of floppies and CDs.
How much do you think it's worth today?

Unexpanded the UK value of a unmodded CD32 is roughly £70 or so.
Expansions are rarer, so probably add some value, CD32 paravision expansions are often listed on ebay at close to £250.
Have you tried sold listings on eBay?

I give you 50 bucks for the whole deal.
okkie if you meant bitcoins it's a deal.
I give you 60. :p
Ouch! Uhm, second thought, forget it, sorry... :/
If tested working and checked for capacitor/battery leaks:
the CD32 is worth more than 150 EUR
the A1200/040 tower more than 230 EUR.
I say more than, because if it's known that you have taken care of them and are a knowledgable tech person who can give the right information and have made a quality tower build, the price can be higher, because it's common to see some bad builds or builds that used very early tower components which are now all 20 years old, whereas someone who knows the tech and has put in the right components in the build and upgraded over time will get a higher price.
The buyers who will pay up are also the ones who likewise want to have only good components in their builds, and they'd do the builds themselves. I would recommend to split off the 68040 card and CD32 add-ons and sell them separately from the main units. You may even get 150 EUR and 230 EUR for those then on their own.
The monitor may be harder to sell (partly because of lack of interested in real monitors and partly because it costs a lot to send), but if you find the right buyer he could pay up to 50 EUR if it's good.

Some time rather near in the future I might put mentioned Amiga 1200/040 tower for sale. Anyone interested? Because if not I'd put it on polish auction site instead of ebay.
Actually if you're going to make Hardwired 2 on it and greet me in exchange for a discount, I could sell it to you for a mere ninety nine billion dollars.
Just so you know, A1200 went for 500 euro :B
Aren't you sad you let it go? 😶
I am, but they were only accumulating dust for like 20 years and WinUAE is so damn great. 500 EUR is decent money and hopefully someone will have good use of it.
You know that feeling when you step into one of those gaming stores that deal in older stuff and scoffing at the outrageous prices?
OK, 70 bucks.
