Demoscene cryptocurrencies!
category: general [glöplog]
@kschzt: I of course want some TPOLMs too :D
@rez: sent 200 TPOLM!
OK, at this point I'm pretty sure Rez is pulling some sort of Derren Brown mind control trick.
"Vote for our intro in the scene.org awards!"
"lol ok"
"Can I have some free money please?"
"lol sure"
"OK, now I need to know how to make different money"
"k, here is some more free money for you to make other money out of"
;-)

Supreme commander rez, is RAZOR taken on both Counterparty and Dogeparty?
wendell: it's taken on Dogeparty, didn't tried on Counterparty since I can't create here :(
btw, i don't know how to buy BTC and how to put them in my wallet :D
Where are you based? France?
yep!
I just sent a verification mail to "weselldoges.com" to be able to buy some dogecoins, and also I will receive some free doges from those "faucet" website :)
btw, it seems to be really nice to do that with doge, but more complicated with BTC, but perhaps I can convert DOGE to XDP then send it to the other walled in BTC?

damn, I'm discovering a whole new computer world, it's exciting (and a bit frightening at same time) \:D/
Just steer clear of the libertarians. They're bad for you.
one question, the dogeparty wallet key is not a real "dogewallet" key?
@gasman: every TPOLM members get as much TPOLM as they want… and there's no such thing as TPOLM-ex-members.
Rez: It is. You should be able to use it for mining, DOGE purchases or whatever else. Similarly, a cryptoparty wallet doubles as a normal BTC wallet.
@gaia: ok great! so counterparty wallet double as what cryptocurrency? btc? other?
Rez: Counterparty wallets double as BTC wallets, DogeParty as DogeCoin wallets.
so what is the current rate of glöps to demoscene coins?
They ain't worth shit.
visy: Since we're giving them away without expecting anything in return, approximately infinity.
gaia: do you think is possible to find the owner of "RAZOR" on dogeparty?
Rez: If you manage to get your hand on some, you can trivially find the address of the issuer (click the little down arrow button on the block representing your holding of the given currency and select 'Show info'). I don't know if the public API (https://wallet.dogeparty.io/_api) allow resolving the issuing address by token name, but I imagine it probably does. I'd tell you to check the docs, but that'd be cheeky -- given that I can't find any. Just asked one of the people involved for the reference docs and if I get a link, I'll post it here for you. For an example of how to format the JSONRPC call, check the source for the DogeWallet balance query plugin for Engi @ https://github.com/engijs/engi/blob/master/browser/plugins/crypto_dw_get_balances.plugin.js
Getting a message to the issuer is tricky, since there's no formal mechanism for communication. I suppose one could make a new token with a description equalling the message and send some to the original issuing address :)

rez: I just reserve RAZOR for on Counterparty. I can transfer the whole asset to you, what is your preferred Counterparty address?
+for you
gaia/rez: One small correction, you can't actually do any mining in the web wallets. You need the native Qt clients to do that.

ok, perhaps i will try the native qt client after all :)
i read that you need to download locally the full "key-thing", how huge it is?

Is mining still a thing in 2014 and if you don't have a 100+ computer farm?
