I'd like to come, but it's a bit too far from where I live. Is someone from the region of Mainz/Bingen/Frankfurt going to Nordlicht by car, and has a spare seat for me? I'd contribute for the shared gas costs of course.

...or is there anyone from the vincinity who would like to drive with me? I've got a large car with lots of space for equipment. I just want to avoid the huge gas or train costs.

Less than 3 weeks to go, it's time to update you about this year's awesome DJ and live performance line-up we've gathered for some HOT summer action:

First up we have Computadora, ready to flash the dancefloor, mashing up old 8-bit sounds with the humans’ flavour for groovy glitches and squarewave electro party.

Second up we have Datucker, performing an energetic sequel to his amazing 8-bit computer and electro set at last year's Nordlicht that will, once again, get everyone moving like crazy until the early morning hours!

Next we have a somewhat unusual event coming up, in color and 3D: Choco Confectioneries will foot their debut performance and charm us with asian flavoured KPop dance moves, girl power all the way!

Then we'll continue with an awesome classic Amiga Demoscene Mixtape session performed by DJ Arvy aka Triace, to spread some serious oldschool vibes across the party.

If i have a car with more than 1 seat+driver, i can of course transport you back - I'll tell you in about a week.
But keep in mind that we will leave quite late, after cleaning the party place ;)

Nordlicht is coming near (way too fast) and the orga-team is starting to feel the pressure.

However, it didnt slip our attention that only a fraction of visitors on the list have bought their ticket online yet.
Because the entry-costs are pre-financing the event there is officially no "at-the-door" ticket available so please consider to make a purchase beforehand.

Of course we won't send people home who have no ticket (unless the place is already packed to the max) but presold tickets not only enable us to pay the party-location without having to take up a short-term loan (which most likely will come with additional costs) but also to have a better idea how many of you are actually attending (which makes the planning of the buildup and food supplies a lot easier).

So instead of making us have crazy ideas like announcing official at-the-door-tickets with an increased pricetag please consider to just buy your ticket online instead.
If you dont have or like Paypal just contact us and we will work something out.

I'm not going, for reasons of distance and such, but please please buy tickets! I normally wouldn't be in on a bump in a thread to an event at which I will not be making an appearance, but [more or less] the lack of ticket buying already skunked something cool.

And folks, consider the additional stress and cost to organizers of not knowing if anyone is going to show up at their party that they put a lot of hard work into. The demoscene is an ecosystem, and organizers provide your habitat, whether online or in meatspace.

Your last-minute calculation of whether you have time to finish your prod, or can find something shinier to do -- do you have to make it about that?
We can't all be Revision or Assembly. But maybe it's still worth it to plan to go and spend your weekend with other demosceners, and to support the organizers who make it possible.
