A Question.
A week or so ago someone in another thread had a swipe at me by suggesting that I was objectifying women (I'm guessing they meant by posting in this thread).
Here is my response and a question for those of you who come here regularly to lurk and/or post.
I thought about what had been said and decided to put it to the test - asking the female members of my family (my wife and pre-teen daughter) what they thought of it. If either of them agreed that I was 'objectifying women' then I'd happily stop posting here and probably even put in a push request for it to be deleted (despite the fact that I'm not the only poster here).
I gave my missus the link - afaik she looked at a few pages and then came back to me with "So basically it's as tame as imgur, without the cat pics, has no nsfw and doesn't have the usual trashy innuendo?". I told her that out of thousands of posts maybe a doz. were nsfw, half of them mine (& linked & tagged as such rather than posted as a pic) and that some of remainders included gore pics posted by trolls.
She was fine with it, aside from the fact that she said - "I'm not into that cosplay shit so don't expect me to do dressups anytime soon!" She asked me not to show our daughter purely because I didn't know where all the nsfw posts were. That's a fair call in my view. I have repeatedly asked that we include the [nsfw][/nsfw] tags in pouets' bbcode - it simply presents a link that cannot be previewed (even with addons) and makes it clear that the post is NSFW. But to no avail. Just to be clear tho - my wife looked at this thread and had no problems at all with the pictures I and most of the other regular posters had posted here. She certainly "didn't feel as tho she was being objectified".
So. To the person who accused me of objectifying women (you know who you are), I hand down this challenge - show a woman who's close to you this thread and ask them if they think it objectifies them. I strongly suggest you give them the same warning I did to my wife - no-one really wants to look at mashed cat corpses.
To you the general peruser/poster chuck in your 2 cents - if the cons outweigh the pros I'll happily stop posting in this thread and request it's deletion.

I wonder how someone could get the idea of "objectifying women" just because of this thread. Many (that's always a matter of taste, sure) are beautiful; and looking at beautiful people is a nice thing to do - for men and women. I just wonder why you give a fuck about such an opinion because you know who you are. And even if you'd do, who cares? It's no stupid pr0n shit. And residue. No need to kill the thread imho.

Guddamn no! This thread is one of my workdays delights especially in the morning when really tired. I just dont get much of pictures posted here, because of our firewall..

I can't get either the concept of objectifying by posting pics of women that look nice. But of course I would say that as a frequent visitor of this thread. But no, I can't wrap my mind around it, maybe I will search around the internets to read opinions from the other side, I am still curious how do they perceive these stuff. Is it that by posting pics of women and cleavage and beautiful girls, it says "Ahh,. woman are just for looking, they are not for anything else"? We don't say that. Should I not like women and watch random pics? Any comment welcome, enlighten me.
