It’s of course flattering to be included in this mix, but I hate the fact that you guys simply took the 22-khz IMA ADPCM file that was in the demo archive. Can’t you hear it sounds really crap? We used IMA ADPCM compression format for both memory (filesize limits) and hardware reasons as 28836Hz is a maximum you can get out of Paula soundchip. When playing on Amiga the quality loss is far less noticeable than on PC, where it sounds really noisy. So – please ask me for the original WAV file next time. Thanks.
but then again.. that's the target platform, and it's nice to hear what it actually sounds like. I did a recording for H0ffman of what his Jaystep track sounded like on the actual hardware, for use in some sort of mix as well..
