damn, only 4 compos so far? What about wild (non android), intro - 4k and 64k, gfx, music?

Last time we only had two, so I consider this a step forwards. I'd much rather have less compos with more entries than a lot of compos that you have to eventually cancel when the entries don't roll in.

...party is held in part by Nvidia... don't see how non-nv-hardware compos would make sense.
(+1 for 4k and 64k though)

I understand but that cuts me off from participating and probably some other people too.

Forcer: why? They support PC, don't you own any PC? Excuse-me, what is your machine then?

It wasn't a matter of platforms, it was a matter of what can we do and at what efficiency.

imerso,
my prod wouldn't fit in any NVScene compo.
Maybe next year.

+ what Gargaj just said.

Forcer: if there are no compos that are directly open to you personally then I would suggest teaming up with someone, or offering your services to someone who are making a demo for example - I'm sure there are plenty of groups who would be delighted to have graphics from you in their prod.

I have wild prod already done with a whole bunch of gfx but like I said it doest fit in any compo at NVScene. So I will probably keep it for revision or @party but thanks for the info gloom. There is always next time.

looks really great! I would kill for a recording of especially the seminars - its a shame if all of this info is only for the few ones participating in the flesh :)

I hope there will be scenesat coverage from the party place.

Even if not specifically Scenesat but videostream is certainly in the plans.

That seminar list looks really good. I won't be able to attend so I very much look forward to watching the recorded videos.

If a stream is too difficult (it can be for many different reasons), I'd happily settle for a recording later on, but do your best. I think it is great that this is part of a greater event as well - anything that brings recognition and interest to our community can only be a good thing, so kudos to the organizers for making what seems to be a rather difficult puzzle come together :)

or hire a balloonist who can mime what's going on at nvscene!
Hope to meet some old friends there.. I haven't been the best at keeping in touch sometimes.

Basehead,
Did you keep in touch with Disease Factory (Bryan Erikson) from Colorado?
He used make 4ch tracks in 90-93 before he started Velvet Acid Christ. I used to mailswapped with him in early 90s.
I'm looking for any of his old music but he actually lost all his old files.
Perhaps you have anything from him in your collection.

Basehead,
Did you keep in touch with Kinayda (David Lee) from Connecticut?
He used to run the Total Chaos BBS which was our Courier HQ. He was one of our group coordinators during the early 90s.
I'd love to reconnect but unfortunately misplaced his contact info.
Perhaps you might know how to reach him. :)

heh, that's a bit funny. Another "David Lee" from Idaho once did graphics for rarefaction.

Schedule is up - probably not the most convenient times for EU but at least not as bad as Superbowl.
