Oh FFS! Another image thread from ringo?!
In my net-travels I've come across some pretty weird and cool backgrounds. A lot of them have ended up adorning friends deskstops. Generally I only stick to a few on my machines.
For windows it's - Bliss based backgrounds.
For my *nix desktops I use xfce as the environment so I stick to this background, which was made by this guy originally.
However I've come across some really cool and original backgrounds in my time.
Hence this thread.
In most browsers you right-click on the bg image and select "Save/View Background Image".

Feel free to add your own creations or found things. Anyone else's work deserves recognition if you know the sauce.

Solid Color->Black
solid color->dark grey. looks more professional than black.
^^ I tend to find solid colours on website backgrounds looks really drab.

Ah, so you mean backgrounds as in wallpapers? Because for "website backgrounds" I'd recommend: www.subtlepatterns.com. For quite nice backgrounds I always recommend: http://pixelgirlpresents.com/desktops and www.desktopography.net.

No, elend you're right - I did actually mean website backgrounds. Not always good for desktops in terms of size and rez. but I have come across some nice ones. Cheers for the links.
