Random GUI thread
category: residue [glöplog]
Crappiest GUI i found for a tracker. Had to share it, alas. This has nothing to do with the random screenshot thread.
nooo, this is the crappiest gui for a tracker
been staring at this for like > 15 years
i raise with tracker TUI
I was jealous of this kind of software the Amiga users owned back in the day...
You guys are all posting (potentially) bad ones, so I hate to note here I give props to Foobar2000 for it's interface, or rather the ability to almost completely change how it looks based on your wants with on the fly editing of the UI (Configure: Display > Default User Interface: "Enable Layout Editing Mode).
However I despise this program's interface:
As a result, most of my work is done by hand. I'm not sure you can configure it to be useful and not ugly. (I didn't maximize it so I'd take up less thread space; I don't use it that way when I need it.)

have to note here* (Why would I hate such a great program? :P)

I do concur.
Thankfully gimp let's you keep the windows dockable!
I love single window mode. It makes GIMP less bad, given its poor handling of z-ordering of windows and toolbars.

Sorry. With 2 monitors running on xinerama - I have to disagree. I put the pic on the 'landscape' screen and the tools on the 'portrait' screen. I'm guessing you're running windows with nvidia drivers.
Hey, each to their own.
Pretty nice finds here! One more:
These old X11 apps using Athena aren't that hot by today's standards, either:
I also despise Inkscape, though i have to use it. I was used to !Draw on the Acorn, much simpler but effective
To go back to the trackers:
People did actually make tunes with it.

openbsd's fvwm. Been using it for like a decade. On top of that my gui!! for mega-happy-sprite. It's probably annoying as guis tend to be sometimes.
