Looking for films with computers
category: offtopic [glöplog]
This 1970 movie about The Computer is great, regardless of the fact that the story was heavily recycled during the last 40 years:

Hollywood is just about to ruin it with a modern remake starring Will Smith. Will Shamalamalayaman direct it, I wonder?

Kathleen Turner might have been the headliner but the real belle of the movie in Jewel Of The Nile was the CBM-II:
Personal favorite of mine: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0126765/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Also, as v3nom noticed, check out starringthecomputer.com - just make sure you take a proper one and not some stupid movie where i.e. Doom is an arcade machine.

The documentary All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace is a great social/philosophical look at where all this computer mania of ours came from...
Shockwav3: Yeah, well I thought the movie was so-so but perhaps it's super accurate, what do I know. The book "Illuminatus" sounds like an interesting read though.
@Shockwav3: you bitch about Grosse Pointe Blank?
I really love that movie, despite the not so realistic Doom ][ arcade machine...

I forgot a name at the "Lethal Weapon" Mel Gibson pressed key and Game appears at the screen.
Some adventure game appears at the 'Big'(Tom Hanks), probably.

Heh, I was watching last episode of Orphan Black, the geek was repairing a computer that looks like an XT, and said "I needed a 6502 but couldn't find any, so I used a 65c02 which is similar".
First episodes of this new TV-show looked promising: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2543312/
