If you stay overnight, leaving your car in Centrum Gallery is recommended, because it's absurdly cheap (3,50 per day), central and totally awesome. There is also a decent parking house in the Kamenzer Straße (not on parkopedia for some reason) which is near the more booze-area, 4 EUR per day I think. Still, I think it's pretty easy to get a parking opportunity on the street near the BBQ.

The accomodation I can offer is already "booked out". But hotels in Dresden are also cheap. The standard hotels, ibis, ibis budget, motel one are in the center. I personally liked the hostel Louise20 when I visited Dresden for the first time in 2009. And it's close to the booze-area!

that fucking river is supposed to do it's flowing stuff to the left of these trees, right under the arches of that bridge.

photo was taken on monday, there's an additional 1.6m water stacked on it now. still rising, albeit much slower.

Thing is, ted, men cannot tell a river how he's supposed to fuckin' flow ;) He'll break free and will take the space he needs to accommodate the current water volume. Rivers need room to meander, otherwise catastrophy is programmed.

@ted: Did your place get wet?? What about the others? I'm lucky, my place is in a good position, close to the river but on some little hill apparently. But our beloved Beergarden (Schillergarten) drowned again. :(
