We can finally announce that the largest Polish multi-platform party is going to happen once again in a post-industrial city of Lodz, middle of September! Here's a quick sneak-peek of things to come:
* The location fits up to 800 people. It`s capacious, equipped with a plethora of sofas and tables. Don't believe? Check out photos at www.we-can.pl.
* 10 minutes by taxi from local airport;
* Smashing PA of professional grade!
* Excellent prizes, with even more stuff already round the corner! Check out details at our web-site!
* Real-time coding competitions;
* Concerts for those who love electronic music and more - we will soon share some details!
* Big-screen at the heart of the party place!
* Sleeping Room on the first floor with a big-screen view! Tired? Watch the competitions from within your sleeping bag!
* Feeling hungry? You can find drinks and snacks (warm as well!) at the bar!
* The party will be hosted completely in English!
* WiFi - yes, sir.
* Demo-scene productions from previous years, played 24/7 (excluding concert/event/lecture time)

Except for that ... we are reinventing a lot of things during this year. Since I got some new experience in video equipment, we will held a new experimental compo this year.
Basically it will be done in 1v1 tournament system. Both contestants will be connected to a mixer, and realtime DJ set. They will operate in shader toy style environment, and they will be feed with basic FFT of the audio and maybe MIDI input. The contest will be to make a best on screen effect that will be synced to the music.
We may fail or win with that compo, but we will try it to bring some freshness. I think that 10 to 15 minutes for each battle is ok. But we still discuss a lot of things. Everything will be streamed directly from the mixer this year, so there won't be a camera view of the beamer projection on wall anymore (yep, we still make small steps :) ).

What is the best way to get from warszawa airport to lodz? From what I have found, a train ride involves getting from the chopin airport to the central train station and then a train to lodz. Are there e.g. buses going directly from to lodz from the airport?
"from to lodz" -> "to lodz"
Hyde: I'd recommend getting a taxi from the airport and ask the driver to take you to the Central Station. Mind that the cab should have a sticker on the window telling the prices. There is a parking on the ground floor just outside the exit and the cabs there should be just fine. The fare price should be somewhere between 30-50 PLN, it's not the end of the world :)
Alternatively, ask the cab driver to take you to "Dworzec Autobusowy Metro Młociny" (yeah, the naming sucks :-) ). From there, you can take a very comfy bus provided by PolskiBus (http://www.polskibus.com/en). The buses are pretty regular and the service quality is very satisfying. The prices are fair too.
We will be publishing some details as to how to get to the party-place after you land in Lodz beginning September (maybe earlier), so don't worry about it for now.

Thank you!
@hyde,
i'm not from there, but was in washaw few times. there is also a quite frequent, regular public bus lines from airport terminal that is several times cheaper and drive is not much longer then by taxi.
I believe that bus line no. 175 will take you directly to the central train station. please see here:
