ZKM AppArtAward

Hi,
The ZKM (Zentrum für Kunst und Medien) in Karlsruhe has announced for the 3rd time the AppArtAward. This Award is a kind of demo competition (at least the category "art innovation"). I have seen many entries of the last years, compared to common demo art, all of them were quite weak. Most of the entries are made by artists, who have not so strong coding skills and are not much experienced in making art with programs running in realtime.
The interesting thing about this is, that they have no strong restrictions on previously released material, so porting or reusing your demostuff on a mobile (android or ios) and may integrate a little bit of interaction (ZKM loves interactive art..) would be enough for competing there. All entries are remote entries and do not have to be published in the play/appstrore. Deadline is may 12. Interested sceners may take a look at http://en.app-art-award.org. And by the way, they have price money of EUR 10.000 per category :)

interesting, too bad the deadline is quite soonish.
The ZKM AppArtAward is open again for submissions now. If you have running/portable demo/game code its maybe worth taking a look on this as the price money is 10.000 € in 4 categories each and the last years entries aren't that stunning.
