Hi,

I've just coded up a port of the old skool WormHole effect with Actionscript 3.0

First of all, you should fix the discontinuity on the right side :)

and the tearing when rotating also :P

Other than that, not bad... :)
Keep it up and raise the bar.

It's a damn fine start, and AS3 is still easier to handle that JS - at least if you like to keep your sanity. Other than that, keep that effect and do the next - then stack more, get some music - DEMO! :)

what preacher said, make it loop all the way around first ;)

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'm looking into why I'm getting tearing but it looks like the formula I'm using to generate the initial texture might work best for a different aspect ratio.
