Paintovers

It would probably be good to explain the techniques used to stylize these things. Just some high level stuff like "added some noise and then did a guassian blur". I think that would be really useful, especially for coders :)
this was a blast! :) need alot more practice though, more screenshots please! :)
mog: cool, thanks! great underwater/fukushima-look :) quite inspiring..
preacher: great stuff, i think making the outlines pulse via code would be also an idea then..
nice work guys :)
quisten: Really like your background, and that so slight blur at the edges, not fond of the font though - but could be my hate for serif :P
Hi guys!
I was painting some of my ex-girlfriend drawings some years ago and it's a good hobby, i liked it. Despite my skills :D
Have you some less abstract black & white images to share? I'll be glad to colorize some of them and of course put my name instead of yours in my demos .. oh wait i'm kidding :)
Just to kill time in fact.

Romano58: just make sure you don't add bubbles. Bubbles are the kryptonite of the demoscene artist.
...unless the bubbles are made of cubes, of course.
Mog: thanks. I agree, i kinda gave up when making that :)
here's a dutch version:
maali: not bad, but i think distortion could be made more aggressive, tearing bits and pieces apart.. also: too much blue to be a realistic dutch colorscheme :)
@Maali: Awesome. Wonder how this would look in motion.
Even worse, is my guess :P
More screenshots please, at least one of you might need some inspiration for Outline - no? :)
Well, I'm still waiting for somebody to do mine :P
@visy: look again; mog did yours! :)
Ah :D I was distracted by the triangle things and didn't even recognize it.
I wouldn't call the effect a flyby though, it's more of an acidic morphing nightmare that happens to look like a landscape at the point where I took the shot.

I see, though that ramped up blue is rather meh :)
bump!
bamp!
Anyone fancy doing a UI paintover? :D
All you'll ever need.
