i don't completely see how having a username (which helps tracking a conversation in a thread, for example, or jumping to other shaders of the same author after having seen a nice one) is related to lack of anonymity... nothing prevents users creating a usernames without any reference to any real identity. you don't need to write for fullname or anything. there's more information about you right now tight here in pouet that in shadertoy, we only ask you put two characters as a name to make any sense of a comment in a thread. which is also an option. really :)
(for the point of Shadertoy was to bring a community of shader makers together, with anonymous or discoled members, all up to them. for non community-based shader repositories, oh man, there's already a lot, we didn't want to make yet another one)
(like the sandbox, as you mentioned)
Wish I could see all the shaders I liked.
Looking forward to the synch tool you have talked about and the music uploader so we can have proper demos :D

#1. shadertoy is the best :)
#2.
Did this ever happen? I can't find any mention of it in the docs, and it would be an awesome feature.
#3. Would you please clarify draft/private/public? If I have a shader set to draft, I can't access it without logging in. I can access the same shader when set to private without logging in (!). Example: this (currently set to private).
Thank you!

- Share drafts with other people. I don't want to submit a half finished shader each time I want to show it to my fellow coder. Right now, everyone who gets a draft link from me sees an error page.

It's pretty well explained in the tooltip. And you can access it, because it recognizes your ip/cookie.
Shadertoy is a great timewaster and learning tool (big thanks, iq et al), but some small things grind my gears:
- the 10 seconds thumb generation delay
- the lack of bracket indicators
- no parameter/inline help
- no sort function in the profile overview (by date, likes, etc.)
- general lack of documentation
- no discoverbility (except for the search function, I guess)
- no means of discussion/help/forum/general communication
tooltip  not enough sleep last night. Thanks, tomaes!
