Jazzcat, you probably solved it by now. But this can help you to play Ahx basically out of the box (just check the music settings in the example and the doc).
Or you could just use the regular source code example which was bundled with several releases of the tracker. Should be easily searchable if it hasn't already turned out to be on your hd. :)
