I coded it again from scratch. That effect is pretty simple, around 200 bytes uncompressed. I removed the little details from the bee, like the background clouds and the tie moving...

I just saw after installing the latest Chrome it wasn't showing wings. Fixed it and resent to js1k.
The reason: using a.fill( /*code here */ ) and Chrome doesn't seem to be happy with that

I don't like the tunnel, maybe it would work better with a tunnel made with the same technique as the bee, but blue and white on the top and green'ish on the bottom.
yep, i agree totally with xernobyl - the grey blocky tunnel breaks all the cuteness and beauty, and i'd also like to see a fluffy tunnel instead as he says.
Well... it wouldn't exactly be a mash up if it had a cute fluffy tunnel :p
