When I got my first non-console computer it was a pc because I wanted a real computer (I was such a stupid child...). Some day I've bought a Commodore CDTV, but when I was speaking with people and mentioned my "new" Amiga I only got responses like "Haha, STFU n00b! • I couldn't set mirrors, but ftp://ftp.scene.org/mirrors/amidemos/ equals ftp://ftp.back2roots.org/pub/amidemos/ equals ftp://ftp.gathering.org/Amidemos/.
  
• The wuarchive, one often linked Aminet-mirror, had hardware problems. At the moment I don't know if the Aminet will mirrored be again there, an asking mail was sent out. If you find such a link, exchange it with the url of another mirror, f.e. http://wuarchive.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/ -> ftp://ftp.uni-paderborn.de/pub/aminet/.

That explains, why I had a lot of coruppted zips, when I've downloaded from 3 servers at the same time...

Here are some good news from the US of A:
At the current point, we've drug out what we had off of tape backup from the original Wuarchive, and are restoring it to the new machine right now. It'll probably take some time, and I do not have an ETA. You'll see it in it's usual location under FTP (/pub/aminet) when it's complete.

I've decided that, after continuous trouble with the various mirrors, I'll be sharing all videos via the eDonkey network as well. I renamed all files to have a common searchmask-ability (no more zipped files of the older videos, thus no trouble with damaged zip files), just type in [amidemos.org] and you should get several hits. This will be slow at first, but if enough people participate, the videos could spread quite well.

I've been sharing a huge amount of demoscene videos on the eDonkey/eMule network. Scan for "demoscene" as a video search. I'm working on a little web site to collect all of these links together, so stay tuned. If there's continued interest, they can live forever in P2P land, free of corruption. Also, if anyone wants to ADD stuff, it would be nice if he could follow the outlined naming structure, to ease straight filename searches like "demoscene x86" - "demoscene wild" - "demoscene 2001" etc.
