Kitten caught a baby dove yesterday - not too injured but can't fly yet (lazy shit cat probably just picked it up off the ground after it fell out of it's nest!).
I put it in our big cage with the budgie. Anyone know what to feed a baby dove?

I did that once with two baby pigeons. They survived and saw me as their "mother" (aww...)

you can put some baby mesh or potato puree in a big pipette or a drinking straw (the McDonalds ones are good, cos they are bigger) and gently open the pecker and let the mesh flow in it's mouth. Also some watery bread, fat dumplings with bird seed (you got in the winter for the birds outside) or small corns - that depends how old the baby pigeon is and if it already know how to peck on stuff to eat.
And don't forget fresh water ;)

It can peck and has feathers (inc. flight) - I'd say it fell out trying. Seems happy pecking at the budgies seed block and plenty of fresh water.
Budgie says "daFuq?".

aaah, then it's already a young bird. Makes the feeding way much easier. Good luck with that (and also a big thumbup for rescuing a small creature like a young pigeon) I guess it'll be okay if it's not injured, so you can let it try to fly in some days outside (better without your cat) ;)
