Also, if you want to volunteer, let us know before March 8th, and work 5 or more hours at or before the party to assist, your ticket is free.
Plane tickets to Boston for @party with reasonable flight lengths and only one stop are around 600€ on ITA Matrix right now, by the way. Best prices appear to be with US Airways.
oh yes, and the departure airport I tested is Frankfurt.
We're working on our speakers schedule right now.
Haven't visited the world's largest hackerspace? Want to? If enough people express interest, either Thursday night or Sunday afternoon, we'll arrange a tour. http://artisansasylum.com/
@party's remote entry deadline is midnight June 10th, 2013, midnight EST.

is bring your own machine still a possibility for demo compo? for like macs or nvidia gpus?
animated .gif compo could be fun too has any party done that yet?
Hi blackpawn
We will not have an animated GIF compo. If your entry is not a modern PC demo, you can bring your own hardware. See our compo page for details

I j ust checked the time values of the music competition, since i wanted to participate again this year. But 3:30 mins per entry, is that the final number? I would rather see preselection happening than forcing tracks into this "radio-edit" timeframe. Anything you might change as there is still time ? :)
Hi CONS! Sorry not to reply to this earlier, we got hosed by Revision.
Unfortunately the music compo rules will not be changing this year. But maybe next year . . .
We have a limited amount of time to work with for each compo and have to keep that in mind.
Warm regards, and thanks for the question!

<DrClaw> I mix all of my events to be listened to without earplugs. This includes @party. So no, we have not and will not provide earplugs at the @party infodesk as they will not be required regardless of venue. If you've got a problem with that then you're welcome to stand with your head right next to one of the main FoH speakers during the compos, the sound level there may be closer to what you're looking for...
@claw: you took me too seriously / literally :) the fact that someone (you) are handling it means it's no problem.
and all said, I'd go regardless because I'd like to visit MIT. :)
(also, Arthur Ganson exhibits)

@anix: Hah sorry, no problem. I just don't quite understand people that seem to think it's not a party unless you're getting permanent hearing damage. Statements that appear to support this sentiment make the old man in me grumpy ;)
It is not a real party unless you take your pants off. That's what I always say.
I am bringing the following to @party 2013:
I am bringing the following to @party 2013:
- 1 Atari 600XL upgraded to 48K with SD card drive adapter and composite video out
- 1 atari joystick
- the gameduino arduino demo from revision
- couple extra sheets of transparency paper
- 1 really tiny monitor
I will note we have oldschool hardware to loan if folks bring productions for it. Unfortunately we mostly don't have access to PAL machines.
oh yeah, and you have to ask by June 1 so we can get it out of storage. ( :

Pretty soon we will be posting our Partymeister info so you can start submitting all your lovely remote entries, if you cannot make it physically to the party in its awesome new location. (That said, both old locations also had their awesomenesses).
Video links and presenter info to come soon as well.
