A "must have" list for the developer

TUCOWNS-Style thread. But SO useful and interesting! :-)
A few contributions:
zbar, to make my life easier with two screens: http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/zbar/
"ZBar will:
Put a taskbar across the top or bottom of all non-primary screens with one or two rows of buttons, in six styles, with an optional clock
Provide keyboard shortcuts to move windows one screen along
Organise your desktop wallpaper one image per screen or one image across all screens
Display a six month calendar, last month, this month, and four months ahead"
KeyCounter, to control how much and when I work: http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/keycounter/
"counts the number of key strokes you make every minute and records that information, along with whether the mouse has moved.
KeyCounter can then be used to browse the files, and display a graph of when you were at your most busy. It details the time of the first and last keypress in a day, and the graph clearly shows when you weren't at your machine - making the coffee or gone for lunch"
Classic Shell, to restore part of the lost Mojo in Windows 7, and also get again a proper Start menu and parent folder button in the file explorer windows: http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/

wireshark... of course.. why did i miss it?
for multi clipboard on windows 7 and vista i have a way better solution:
http://nes.bplaced.net/de.html
(and of course 7sidebar wich is linked there aswell)
winmerge i shall have added that aswell. awesome tool.
keepass (awesum password database that even works portable with relative file paths)
photoshop portable :O
... way more.. when i'm.. oh shit.. i formated my old laptop.
had an awesome explorer addon that was doing renaming and file matching using regular expressions. will try to find it again.
nginx -> (i hate apache)
besides:
depends.exe (wich has been posted one or two pages ago), spy++.exe (tool in visual studio), gyp, visual studio command prompt to compile c / c++ without using that overloaded IDE

Memtest86+ can save many headaches
vim, clang, /thread
No mention of Sublime Text?
@GottZ: coz Gnome and KDE are definitely not essential development tools? Besides, as far as I'm concerned I prefer running something like IceWM or LXDE on the old notebooks I usually own.
> Memtest86+ can save many headaches
Actually I just needed that, because since Friday my system runs unstable. :( Well, memory is not the cause. ;)

the fun thing with memtest86 is that the only thing it can tell is that/if memory is actually bad - not that it is ok =)

Any good application to searching for file content (apart of windows search and google desktop)?
What are people doing iOS / mac dev using btw? I'm using just Xcode (and the various extra shit like instruments of course), and finding it pretty ok, but if there's something cool I should be adding to the arsenal it would be nice to know :)
