All that you touch
And all that you see
All that you taste
All you feel
And all that you love
And all that you hate
All you distrust
All you save
And all that you give
And all that you deal
And all that you buy
Beg, borrow or steal
And all you create
And all you destroy
And all that you do
And all that you say
And all that you eat
And everyone you meet
And all that you slight
And everyone you fight
And all that is now
And all that is gone
And all that's to come
And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon
Bad eclipse. Bad.

Eclipse is fine, when it works.
it's not that eclipse is bad, but p2 is one hell of a nightmare and shitty bundles do the rest.
This pic says it all:
Code::Blocks as an alternative as well: http://www.codeblocks.org/
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudio/archive/2012/06/08/visual-studio-express-2012-for-windows-desktop.aspx It will be able to produce desktop programs after all.
As seen on page 1.
Woops, missed it.

Am I supposed to be discussing here, or posting My Little Pony images? The original post wasn't very clear in its instructions.
In this thread: People who have used Eclipse for all of an hour - "OMG worst piece of software ever".
How are edit and nano IDE's? They're editors, yeah, but I don't see what makes them IDE's.
radiantx: Make it 2 years, not 1 hour.
Eclipse sucks. Nuff said?

On and off at work for a few years. The ones who have been using it full time at work have switched IDE.
eclipse does suck PUNKTUM
I'm still on Eclipse 3.5 because 3.7 has some weird new bugs and idiosyncrasies. Still the best Java IDE out there, I guess.
Along those lines: The people bitching about Java, either never passed the 'hello world' stage OR have been working on stupidly extensive projects every working hour for the past 10 years.
In general, the longer you have to work with some non-trivial software (such as IDEs, DAWs, Vector/Bitmap/DTP-SW, Browsers) the more likely it is that you grow resentful of it. :)

Pony pictures? this is turning into a bay12 thread! :p
xTr1m: Five years and counting. Still rocks. You lose.
tomaes: I'd guess the title's divided equally between Eclipse and IntelliJ.
Yeah, don't get me started on the "Java sucks" crowd...
