I'm 6ft10 and have had no problems whatsoever with legspace on WizzAir flights (I do pay the €5 extra for seats next to the emergency exit tho).

I have a TERRIBLE time believing you had a good experience with Virgin Atlantic. I flew with them coming to europe last year for TG/moving and between missing the first flight because they closed the check-in 50 minutes before take-off and having to pay to reschedule and maintenance problems with the rebooked flight, I was 3 days late.

On Wizz Air:
Dr Claw also took issue with the scramble for seats that made it feel like a bus ride in rush hour.

On CDG:
Good to know. I won't route other people through there. My French is still awful and I have a pronounced Quebec/Anglo accent, but I suspect having some knowledge might lead to an easier time.

I'll note for anyone traveling from Europe and looking to save money that you could fly into NYC and then take a train or bus up here. Four hour drive, slightly longer bus and train.

Virgin Atlantic is "the virgin group way". You dont even get any drinks on the plane, there is a water fountain you can cuddle around.. *but* it gets you transported across the ocean quite cheap. So if you dont need any pampering at 30.000 feet, this is not THAT bad actually.

CDG is a huge airport and is organized the french bureaucratic way - meaning you need a PHD to figure it out. Yes it gets complicated and yes transfers between terminals will take you ages - but then its the same at say FRA or LHR. Give yourself 3 hours at least between flights when transferring and you are safe.

i just booked my flight \o/ (british airways/american airlines combo ticket, for the airline nitpicks ;))

and bought a ticket (woohoo!), will be finalizing hotel bookings this weekend :)
