Yes, I know, it's a long time since they were released, but now I've finally gotten my sticky hands on Brothomstates' Claro and Qtio EP. (If you didn't know, Brothomstates has been signed to Warp Records (along with other great artsits like Aphex Twin, Two Lone Swordsmen, Autechre, Plaid, Boards of Canada, etc).)

Damn, those CDs are great! The CDs are actually very varied, some hard and almost noisy tracks, often quite similar to the style of Autechre, and some calm, mellow/ambient tracks, reminiscent of Plaid. Still it sounds more like Brothomstates than anything else..

Warmly recommended, provided you are a fan of experimental electronica :)

Got both Qtio and Claro on CD (Qtio on vinyl as well, just for kicks) some time ago. Some really good tracks, but a lot is probably too weird for the unitiated.

I might add that I never felt so happy paying for brothomstates's music. I guess I owed him something for years of good tunes ;)
