best ultra book for demos
category: residue [glöplog]
I want my computer runs quietly, so I think to buy an ultrabook but I do not known which...
but windows sucks on apple.
Slightly cheaper and better looking, yet much the same specs: :P UX31
Either way I doubt the Intel HD 3000 graphics thing is really ideal for demos, though. Sure it's an ultrabook you want? Not all laptops are noisy, you know, especially if you get rid of the HDD.

AFAIK, some ghettosceners use this ultrabook model:
this one's a lot better though
any ulrabook that can play youtube/x264 HD vids fine should do ;)
Older versions of the macbook air had a nvidia gpu, too bad they replaced it for the cpu built-in intel one...
This one should be enough to run some Second Realities and Crystal Dreams.
My MacBook Air from late 2010 has a NVidia 320M, I can code my intro without any problem on it :)
moi les macbook air, j'y ai pas vu de nvidia...
Et comme le chantait quelqu'un ; trabadja la macboukère... ^^
UX31 all the way, but hoping someone would do ultrabook with nVidia Optimus in it..
http://vr-zone.com/articles/gigabyte-announces-its-first-ultrabook-at-cebit-we-go-hands-on/15125.html ok, theres GF640M, whatever that is then..
I was hoping for this one to be the ultimate portable demo platform, but it's too small to comfortably code on.
Can anyone recommend a laptop good enough for low latency audio recording, synthesizing and editing?
Without a doubt, a quadcore MIPS ultrabook with DSP units and Open/GL ES 2.0 GPU is the best for demos:

BarZoule: To the extent that you didn't, yeah
I preordered a Pandora in 2010 and still haven't recieved anything... Maybe I should check up on the project
well, I see, technology is not for the best.
