Existential crisis (make a demo about it)
category: offtopic [glöplog]
At some point in the last 10 years of my life I became an adult. I have the same stupid arguments with my wife that everyone else has. I worry about things like, "being on time" and, "getting enough sleep" and worst of all, "the future".
It's a goddamn shame.
It's a goddamn shame.
Al least you have a wife/girlfiend or someone to f*ck XD
I guess that's the problem in many lives. Or to sum it up:

So does the "i don't care too much"-thinking from childhood/youth.
I hope that crisis won't have any negative effect on your fun coding :D

Guess it's called growing up. I don't find it that bad after all...
Im constantly being accused of not growing up aka not caring enough about "being on time"(co-workers), "getting enough sleep/eating not healthy enough"(gf), "being a careless lazy fuck and generally immature and irresponsible" (basically everyone)
Don't know if thats any better than worrying.
Getting old?
Fuck that shit.

Growing up and growing old aka boring etc. are different things.
yes, the first one is optional while the second one seems not ;p
:D I don't know. We'll see. Not ready to be and old fart yet ;)

damn you're spoiled.
I love the meaning in this xkcd comic. It's our turn to decide what grown up means!

Our oldest member in the Atari-8 bit club is ober 80 years old - he releases something new every years and presents it on the big screen on a party.
That's getting old - the right way!
You need a dose of Darklite :)
yea, Darklite rox ;)
speaking of the "coming of age": One good thing about it is that your past becomes a subset of your existence that you can slip into every now and then.

I had a similar discussion with a friend not so long ago. My point was that I was a child who worked for a living and paid taxes. His was that I was an adult because I plan, am thoughtful and care about others.
I still think I'm no different from when I was as a child, just more experienced, and I don't think that will change. Hopefully.
Now someone please give me a huge LEGO Technic box for Christmas. :)

It feels weird to say this, but: What Optimus said.
Gargaj SOOOO won the thread, it's crazy.
Bwhahahhaahaha, it's so spot on it hurts!
:-D
Well. Give it another 30-40 years give or take and you can once again do anything you like, where you like, as you like. Only, nobody can really give you any shit for it because; "hes old". According to my granddad, being old is not so different from being a child in the eyes of our society and only a goddamn fool misses that chance.
So perhaps, instead of glooming over times lost. look ahead as many great times are still to happen as you get through the grind and level up. I have this from a very reliable source. the worlds happiest man, ever.
