I visited hornet demoarchive to see if they still got their design up, because it reminded me of "true" sceneship. They didn`t. They did in 97 or so. Last stand of scener hood fallen. Well not that I was much into whatever became called "the scene". Before it was always about hacking, and demogroups. Which I am not into anymore btw, but it`s fun to see intelligent demoes expressing true thoughts and art.
I was reminded of how the term "lamer" had been abused in later scene, while nobody seemed to abuse it back in the days of hackerdom, intelligent men using computers, and the rest using phrases such as "he has virus-lice" about these intelligent men. Now ofcourse they are all on facebook, so they are full of facebook-lice now, according to their own thinking.
With the advent of the lamers entering the internet, I felt it was neccesary to dust off the phrase "lamer" and present it as originally meant.

Lamer comes from the term "lame in the head" meaning that the brain isn`t working. Someone of low wits. Used by hackers to describe people who aren`t computer litterate, and generally used about any annyoing idiot. Usually in perplexion, revolt and hate of how stupid a person can be. Similar to how adherents of abrahamic religion would use "satan", however that is a word with even stronger connotations, also implying madness, and the feeblest of mind, and utter repulsiveness, usually related to someone who follows a wooden idol, or other unnatural concept in modern times.
Both the lamer and the idolator, is about heroworship, football heroes, sports, getting many women, and what is called "following ones desire" in religous terms. And they usually are the enemies of intelligent men, and monotheists at lower levels of school, nad harrasing them. While this conflict is reduced later in life, and intelligent men go on to become leaders of society, the hacker likes to show brilliance with his skills, and the monotheist likes to be unburdened by the limits of idolatrous culture. Both would seem to enjoy the unlimited unfolding of human nature, and the mind, without unnatural concepts upheld by idolaters standing in their way.
Many hackers claim irreligiousity and proclaim many aspects of atheistic faith, as nonfaith. However the monotheistic hacker will proclaim this as more lameness, and refute it, for instance that saying his alternative to intelligent design does not exist, but pointing out that the universe is not a random number sequence, and clearly observable, inspite of the atheists claim. If there is not randomness, there must be intelligent design. And randomness cannot create anything on its own, so the argument is a logical impossibility to begin with.
So lamer, in its logical extreme, means disbeliever. :)

A lot of the facebook dudes are as lame as ever. Some have grown-up ofcourse, but I do fear that they think their "computer-lice" thinking is valid. Ofcourse that problaby is the same one that says all policitans are corrupt, and the police are only pigs, and so forth. While the believer understands that there is much intelligence and good conservative values among many politicians. Liberal politics again ofcourse representing the same enemy. And recognizing that we have built this society, on wisdom and the highest insights, and the police enforces that. And so ofcourse respecting that.
