DAMN I'm kinda nervous
category: residue [glöplog]
I'm currently negotiating with the Uni of Hamburg about launching a company for Lua OS together. ("Lua Productions"? Or something. Who the hell knows!)
(Yeah, this is a shameless advertising post, I confess to everything.)
Anyway: Initial interest high. That was on Friday anyway. Now I'm waiting for more. Hmhmhmm.
Kinda feels like when you're applying for a job. That ridiculous life/death feeling. Am I going to live or die? When will they call me? I totally hate that shit. Then again, it kinda feels like something important is happening.
Well well. I don't NEED them. But it would be damn nice to get this collab rolling. Kinda just makes sense to do it that way. You know: Locally and globally and all together. That revolution thing.
Sheesh. I think I might be going out and getting some of the smokey stuff today. Eases the nerves dunnit. :o)

Alles wird gut.
btw. Exam on Friday here, kinda nervous too.
abwarten und tee trinken :D or smoke some weed and relax.
Don't do that before the interview. :/
If jersey cow inside chain saw confess near bubble bath, then about pocket sweeps the floor.[3
las: Good luck for your exam.
I am a computer scientist from Vienna. I have been programming computers since the age of 8, pursuing game development as a hobby, and editing Hugi, world's largest international magazine on the PC demoscene, since I was 12 years old. Other interests of mine are medical biochemistry, human genetics, differential psychology and political philosophy. Also enjoying to read a good book now and then, some of my favourite authors are Karl Popper, Ludwig von Mises, Bertrand Russell and Douglas Hofstadter.
Computer science as I perceive it is a branch of mathematics, focusing on subjects such as formal logics, automata theory and algorithmics. I studied computer science at the Vienna University of Technology. We had to choose among five different Bachelor programmes: data engineering and statistics, technical informatics, software and information engineering, medical informatics, and media informatics. As I had previously studied medicine I chose medical informatics. The first two semesters of all Bachelor programmes were the same: mathematics (focusing on linear algebra, analysis and graph theory), basics of computer technology (semiconductors, processors, operating systems,...), social aspects of computer science, algorithmics and data structures, theoretical computer science and data modelling. In the third semester we had statistics and then the special courses of our studies started. In my case I learned about things such as healthcare information systems, artificial intelligence and image processing. To finish my Bachelor's degree, I had to write a thesis and complete a practical project. For the thesis (which IMHO was the more interesting part) I chose evolutionary algorithms in medicine as the subject. After completing the Bachelor's degree I kept on studying medical informatics for a while although I was focusing on my medical studies at that time, but eventually I switched to the Master's programme in computational intelligence as this included subjects that were of greater interest to me, such as heuristic optimization techniques, genetic programming, analysis of algorithms, bioinformatics, computational geometry,...
My original aim in life was to obtain the Nobel Prize to show everybody that I'm as smart as Einstein, but this goal has become obsolete since I was added to the World Genius Directory in 2011. Chances to gain the Nobel Prize are very low and so I rather try to enjoy life than be unhappy all the time striving for an unreachable goal.
I love my girlfriend, 16-bit video games (all-time favourites: Shining Force, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man), video game music, Chinese and Italian food, the Internet, expanding my knowledge of various areas of science and the humanities, IQ puzzles and life in general.
Furthermore, I am a member of Club Biotech, Young Liberals Austria, Mensa Austria and Infinity International Society.

lol. @Adok. you once again spamming your bio to profile yourself?! *shakes head*

drop dead adok
Thanks and wtf(!) adok.
Your CV is of no interest for the most of us - please spare us the details.
Just so you know: I never had an IQ test - and I'll never do one.
And that's a thing I can recommend to all the nice people who don't want to end up like Adok. :)

Adok, you may find that you have to do something towards the betterment of humanity in order to get that Nobel. You just keep pluggin' on there sunshine.
can we get over this adok-dude...ALREADY?!
if i´d read that bio as someone giving away jobs, i´d have a short laugh and go on!
this thread is about anticipation/speculation and feeling volted.
and the answer is: all you can do is speculate/anticipate some more...just dont come back to them too early, let em decide first, ask again in 1-2 weeks and see what they have to say. (just only if they dont answer emselves until)
just let em think they aren´t the only ones talking to you so far ;)
my 2 cents are:
watch Ghostbusters 1.Movie again and learn about the Free Market, which is way open for you ;)
