camstudio.org is ok.

ScreenToaster is a really neat cross-platform flash/browser based one - I was actually quite amazed at how well it worked, after trying a whole load of crappy freeware/shareware ones (for Mac, that is - Windows may well have a better selection)
(I made this with it)

Do you always need an active internet connection while using ScreenToaster? Looks like it...
If you use Windows I suggest the UltraVNC Screenrecorder. It´s a really good program for capturing your screen and audio, very fast imho

http://screenr.com/ is quite good (100% browser-based, no download)
RareWtFailWhale: I wouldn't have thought so - if it was streaming data to somewhere on the internet live during the recording, surely you'd get quality dropouts and buffering issues and all sorts. In fact, from what I remember it churned out a several-hundred-meg AVI to save to my local machine when it was done (in addition to uploading it to youtube) and I'm pretty sure it wasn't downloading that from the net.
Gasman: Because it said in the FAQ you had to register and log in to save the video...
If you want to record screencasts with high quality, you should choose the right program.
The one I used can help me record any activities I made on screen with high quality. So, I often use it to help make tutorial video. And after recording, the program can help save the recorded video to standard video format file, so I can upload the tutorial video to YouTube without any conversion.

Why hello there Mr Fake Spammy User "ariel" -- now, fuck off.
Banhammer please.
Banhammer please.
Also, remove the post so that the bastard don't gain Google Pagerank points.
well links on pouet's bbs should really have rel="nofollow"
or simpler: 0 glops users cannot post ;P
It's a rare problem from what i've seen, but yeah the link definitely needs deleting, so long as it's there they 'win'.
psonice: it really annoys me, because the comment-spam links from many years ago are still there too. They should be deleted or pointed toward www.pouet.net or whatnot -- but not stand.
jing or snagit?
gloom makes me think of wholesale valves now.
If that valves crap is still there, and still linked, the spammer is still benefiting from that thread. So far as google is concerned, it's a page full of keywords on a popular forum with a link to their site at the top. It's helping push their site up the rankings, even now. That's why we're saying kill the link, not just ban the (probably abandoned anyway) account.
or, as suggested above, rel="nofollow" for all bbs links.
it'd be a shame to lose all the benefit of indexed links though. How often does this happen, once a year or so?
psonice: no, more than that. Just by random accidents I think I've stumbled across at least one new fakeuser with random links in comment threads or on the BBS once a month or something. Certain times it's more, other times it's less.
