Great party, had a wicked time, it is a shame about the quality of the immediate surroundings but it was good to have all of the facilities right next to the hotel/partyplace and also having a sauna / steam / jacuzzi each morning was an awesome hangover cure :D

had an ace time :) the party place worked quite well, the swimming pool being a particular winner, but like others have said, the location was a bit dubious :)
had the most miserable hangover on sunday though :D

Damnit. I spent the weekend getting major backache trying to drill holes through steel in a seriously difficult position, and getting cold wet + dirty jet washing a patio ;(

psonice: that sounds way more comfortable than EasyH(ot)ell!

Anyway, I gotta disagree with the complaints about Best Western and it's surroundings, I didn't feel unsafe at any moment during my stay (I guess the locals were more likely to be scared by me than the other way round ;)). The party was great fun to help organise, lots of friendly visitors and the hotel staff was actually very friendly. I would love to come back to Luton for another Sunrise, and I will definitely book Best Western when it happens :)

as we get older and richer and have less time, the whole concept of hotel-based parties gets increasingly enticing :)

True, but we don't want to exclude the young and poor who have tons of free time. (And I mean new sceners, not the youth of luton ;)

hmmm, the average age at sunrise was like.. 35 :)

Finally a party where I am part of the relatively younger crowd \o/

I thought the bloke stood outside the hotel shouting abuse at people over the bridge was quite funny actually, but I live in Watford, so I should be used to it.

Thank you all for a great party. All in all, Luton itself was an "experience". Some of it was good and funny, other stuff was just weird and scary :)

I would also love to come back to Luton for another Sunrise.

yep, the hotel staff were second to none, which makes a refreshing change :)

Yeah, the hotel staff were all great. I'm happy to come back to Luton as long as I have a car or bike by then! One of the bar staff asked me what we were all doing, so I tried to explain the concept of the scene. I told her that is boiled down to hauling old computers out of skips and seeing what we could do with them. I _was_ very drunk at the time.
