Voxels in Dis and LiveEvil are something
Plasma rotating cube in 2nd Reality rules!
Unlimited # of bobs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Raster bars - 'nuff said. =-)
dycp roolah da scene. :)
I love the 3pixel's nature 2 underwater effect.
I just love the volumetric light rays of the moral hard candy, I did not manage to find how it was done at that speed, U2 told me.
So more also, if i find it i'll comeback :)

sanx: ever heard of asm? =)
I always loved Andromeda's plasma zoom and shade clusters in Nexus 7.
But I also loved all the new and never-seen-before effects in Sanity demos too.
I must also mention TBL's trademark zoomer, as featured in both their Amiga and PC demos.
The armageddon sequence in Relic is pretty fantastic too.
Ok, that's enough for now...

that "pseudo volumetric light" effect over that sphere in nonstop ibiza experience was really nice too..
and fast enough on a 1ghz cpu ..
or maybe it looked different because it wasn't accelerated.

activator: I imagined it was raytracing, so event asm would not have been enough. But finally even C code is enough, with that wonderful hack !
scrolling or fade in/out
Lit & shaded 3D chess set animation in Crystal Dream ][ running smoothly on my 386dx 40MHz box back in the day.
I remember the chessboard in cd2 looked pretty good on my 386sx/16... the worst 32-bit cpu in existence, and the machine was an ibm ps/2 even, uugh =)
viagra/mewlers features some of the cutest fx ever
the morphing bump-alien with the volumetric lights coming out is somewhat like....woh! together with the music roxx ass.
of course also the water or the cube with the inner light.
one of my alltime favsnot a real effect as 3d itself is no effect, but still: cubic team's roller coaster in toasted.

most 2D effects from Orange, Fudge radial blurs from the Clone series, the voxel tunnel from Stars/Noon. But I always hated plasma+palette cycling shit.
right, now someone compile _all_ these effects into a...say...256b demo.
crossfade
Well, recently for me it was Twilighte's 3 channels soundtracker routine on the Oric Atmos :)
dake > if you dislike paletterotations... do you like any uptodate 32bpp demos?
(hint: think;)

I love voxel/volumetric XXX ( except landscapes which sux ), organic designs and stylish XXX.
now, replace XXX by anything you want

poi, what i meant was that everything is paletterotations nowadays
stefan: I had understood, in fact every computer animation is a palette rotation, and computer images are just some really slow palette rotations : )
every 3dengine is just a polyfiller also.
