Megakudos to Setok for he's statement at assembly tv regarding the music compo. :)
A few comments on the stream:
This year, the HD stream actually works for me in Switzerland — it didn't last year (had to revert to 2Mbit). There's virtually no stuttering, which is great; I hope it stays that way through the demo compos. :-) Kudos for not requiring Flash; the RTSP streams are a bit hidden away, but they work fine in VLC once you find them.
I still miss some kind of contact point for technical problems — the field ordering was all messed up at some point, leading to pretty masive stuttering, and right now, some demo playing is tearing like crazy (missing vsync).
And, finally: The HD quality is overall very nice, but whatever H.264 encoder you're using, it has really bad problems with fades. And I hope for your sake Satori doesn't show up with a demo, since the picture is already pretty blocky/bandy when playing stuff with hard edges. :-)

However - the RTSP streams are fucked (all of them) at my place right now :/
I'm using rtsp://stream2.asm.fi/live/hd.stream, and it works, although with no sound right now, it seems.

Well, the iOS streams don't seem to work on my iPad...I just get the sound, but no picture :-(

Is it so that the soundsystem cannot take the harsh sounds of oldskool and extreme compo, because every year after that the sound starts crackling and bass is much lower than normally?

stream is ok, sound/images under "visual duress" not great, but good enough. cool stuff, but all quite dark (unfunky)

Yeah, the ASD demo in particular was pretty harshly dealt with by the encoder… and things stuttered a bit more in the democompo than in the other compos, probably more congestion. But overall I think the compostream has been quite nice, as it was last year.
