Yah.. venue next. What areas are good for people.. near train stations I guess? I'd be coming in to Charring Cross/Waterloo area, or St Pancras. The South Bank area (near Waterloo) would be great but I guess it's a little pricey.

We could always get take-out and meet out in a park? I'm sure we can cope without power sockets and wi-fi for a few hours.

Smash... true, it's not hip. It is fairly central though, and it's likely we'll be able to buy a pint for less than a tenner. If you need to top up your art-nerd points then there's a "celebration of hip-hop culture" at the South Bank Centre (Talk, DJ Battle and Electric Boogaloos performance) and a "day of documentary, art and discussion inspired by the pioneering Russian cosmonauts" at the BFI on the 16th. Both of these venues are just down the road.

If all else fails, there's always the German Bierkeller just outside London Bridge station (Borough High Street entrance) called Katzenjammers... Only about an hour by train for me to get there and they serve non-alcoholic beer that doesn't taste of shite!
