Rez: true, guess I'll show that pic to whoever asks me what a demoparty is... (if I don't want to scare them, that is ;) )

rez: truly awesome picture, and the source (heise news-ticker) is read by every IT guy in Germany.

Still a scary picture, if you look at the orange poster in the background, which says in German "God has arrived", and a crowd of people gazing intensively on a bright light.

I am quite sure that is not the message nuance wanted to spread with that poster :-)

Thank you very much for organizers and demosceners in Reivision.
Revision 2011 was a great party.

+I met and talked with many great demosceners
+nice demo comps
+big screen
I watched demos in front of the big screen.
Watching my demo on big screen is different from watching one on my PC.
I felt as if I'm in demoscene.
+large party place
+nice hotel
+soft chair
+convenient night shuttle bus
+food is big and delicious
+cool and silent toilet tunnel

-Public bus transport is complicated.
Public bus transport in Saarbrucken seems designed for only people in Saarbrucken.
Informations in the bus stop is written by only Germany.
There are ticket selling machines in bus stop, but I can't understand how to use it.
So I bought ticket in the bus.
Bus schedule only says you ride bus 102, but there are 2 ways buses in 102.
I rode the wrong way bus.
It went to Saarland university which is sponsor of Revision and researching about raytracing.
And it took about a hour before arriving at Burbach Bahnhof.
It seems you have to push stop button before you get out the bus.
If you don't push the buttom, the bus might ignore the bus stop.
But if it is a first time for you to ride a bus in Saarbrucken, you would don't know when the bus arrive at the stop you want to go.
It seems there is no display showing a name of next bus stop, but there is only voice announcements.
If there are loud people in the bus, you can't listen the announcement.
Please make more specific information about how to use bus in Saarbrucken.
Or please arrange shuttle bus between hotel and the party place.

I hope this feedback help improving the party and many demosceners will go to next Revision.

I'm writing party report about Revision 2011.

I'll upload more pictures later.

I think the bus stop thing is pretty european... at least, it's french too.
But indeed, even by counting the number of stops, you couldn't really know if you missed one or two. Me and my friend missed it and had to walk to go back to the right stop.

And hey tomohiro, I think you were sitting close to where I was.
tomohiro: it was really awesome to briefly meet you! It's amazing you take this much effort to show up at our party, thanks a lot for being part of Revision!

i admit i'm also a bit weary of foreign public transport, so i just decided to walk from the train station to the partyplace - it's really not that bad :D

what i find entertaining is that most problems tomohiro describes (like having to push the button) seem to be more an european-asian cultural difference, which is probably the first time in scene-history that we need to consider them :)
