May I bring to your attention the fact that in the public "choice" section we see one entry from C64, Atari (!) and Amiga each? Ever heard of Amiga? So there is a small but significant difference to, for instance, the demo section, which is Windows only, courtesy of the "Wise Men." No complaints, just facts.

Yeah, it's nice at least that in this public choice awards we see at least two or three demos that are not the major stuff selected in the most common categories. It always pisses me off when people choose the very best demos in public awards that will make it several times in the main categories anyway, instead of selecting something less obvious that's worth it. But yeah, I should stop complaining and make a demo about it :)

smash: I think this year it's extra obvious that every juror vote for their all-round favorite production no matter what category they vote for. But hey, I've always complained about the scene.org award nominations.

As I recall, the oldskool category was officially named "Best demo on an oldskool / alternative platform" for a while, which conveniently meant that they could include Craft by lft in there. Looks like they changed it back to make it fit on the web design or the plaques or something, but I'm sure they'll be able to quietly change it again if a suitably good non-oldskool alternative demo comes along...

There is no such things called "Demoscene Awards", "Demoparties", "Years" or "Nominations". All these fancy terms refers to imaginary (and false) concepts.
