The Flash-only is actually not flash-only... you can submit *animations* made with Flash, or Silverlight, or any of that kind of programs where it's about pure animation.
Browser demos aren't pure animation - if they are, they will be moved to the Flash Animation compo :)

News update:
All the compo rules have finally been published in the website, in English! (and Basque, if you're into that)
We are also super happy to announce that we have partnered (as in previous years) with the nice chaps from RetroEuskal, which will take care of the 8 bit scene department at the party, and apart from their annual 8 bit machines exhibition and other nice events, will also run three exclusively 8 bits compos: graphics, music, and for the first time in Euskal, 8 bits 4K compo!
So if you were worried about entering your C64 intro in the Open Intro compo and making it fight against the Big PCs, you can now submit it to the 8 bits 4K compo instead ;)
If you can't make it to the party but want to enter any of these three new compos, send an email to scene@retroaccion.org and they will take care of everything.

Atari founder (Nolan Bushnell) to give a keynote (not sure why, but...), also there will be an exposition showing works by the amazing Spanish illustrator Alfonso Azpiri (quite known for his work for 80's spanish videogames covers), and he'll probably be signing game & comic copies. I think if you're into retro stuff, this party is getting more interesting each year.
On my side: exciting surprises for the attendants.
Plus three demoshows already confirmed.
