Mr. Keops i assume that's were he came from? the exponential growth of the random image thread was a "bad sign" from the beginning.. my opinion.
We had one like Ringofyre in our class back then. No one liked him, yet he always wanted to be with us and even ignored our insults. :)

About the glöps: I am very interested in scene productions, and as I said am an active scener myself... but this does not mean that I rate every production I like.
What I wanted to say in my last post: The admins of Pouet should delete every porn picture that is posted here, because this is really borderline and also may give the demoscene some strange aftertaste.
BUT: There is of course a difference to ART - productions of - say - Metalvotze may have porn and gore as topics but are ART!
How about this proposal: Admins delete all unrelated threads and also the porn - I mean, seriously guys: What about sceners under the age of 18?
I'm no naive dreamer who wouldn't be aware of the reality of the internet and I am no prude, conservative fanatic, but maybe one should seperate ART and crap to raise the quality.
This is just my opinion... you are of course free to continue the way you want. And if there's stuff I don't like I still have my graphic-blocker on firefox...

i'm completely impressed that people actually manage to get annoyed by someone making a thread like this. or by posting *anything* into the random image thread at all. i mean, that's why the thing was created. the fact that people think the fucking random image thread can be "polluted", thus warranting yet another one, is ridiculous.
pouet serves its function just fine, with or without these threads. 90% of the front page space is directly about demos. threads opened about demoscene-related stuff are answered immediately, and nicely so. plenty examples on the front page right now.
