i'll throw one more in: jason scott is a terrible, terrible person. filthy leech.
did someone actually pay cash expecting to get a hardworking man doing stuff for the scene in return, or is it just a big internet joke I don't get?
plek, i don't believe that. he organises blockparty and generally seems to be doing random cool stuff to the scene. he has a hobby and shares it with people. i can't see how that makes a terrible person.

To ask random strangers for cash to blow on Mountain Dew, hamburgers, sand or whatever it is Americans live on is a bit dodgy.. especially if you mention looking for work like 3 months after you're done..
Also, we are all assholes that like riling up everybody not in our inner circle.
