I disagree on the "great show" though. it used to be a bit more pro earlier years. "ze germanz viz the greatz jokez"... come on!

I thought it was a great show and agreed with the winners mostly. Jesus Christ Motorcross was awesome, but so were the demos that won in the categories JMC was also nominated.

I disagreed with most winners, but then again, that's nothing new. :) I thought the show itself was the smoothest and most professional in years! Kudos to the people pulling it off!

So many good prods were nominated but it is almost always the same. The usual suspects get the award(s) - time to replace the jury.

i think asd and flt where given too many first places. their nominations in the categories was appropriate, but others where better in some divisions.

A demo without any graphics in the traditional meaning, even no textures (or close to). And Rapture was in the nominated entries here as well, which is only lines and glow.


Most original concept is a demo with music that can be downloaded on the internet.

Wouldn't "best graphics" just be "highest aesthetical quality" rather than "best 2D in a 3D demo", which is kind of an anachronism nowadays?

Hollowman: Of course I know what 3D-graphics is. But in my world best graphics should still be the craftmanship of an artist that have drawn images, logos, textures or such, not just plain 3d-objects displayed in the demo.

As I said, I'm too old for this. I better get back to being grumpy and code some cycle accurtate fullscreens that (nearly) nobody appreciates :-)

here's a clue: motocross is funny, but the ingredients aren't top nodge if anything I could think about the best direction, but who cares anyway guys... it's just the awards.
