Breakpoint 2010 - Like there is no tomorrow
category: parties [glöplog]
Mmmmh... Let's give it a try... Any scener or whatsoever going to BP from Belgium ? If I take a sleeping bag, it might be feasible. I'm gonna see if it's that hard to sleep in the hall. :p

believe me, it is not. :)
It is indeed very easy to sleep in the hall! You just need to drink enough to feel sleepy, then you're good to go.
At least you can sleep in the main hall. If I think back 'bout fucking "The Party"...tsk
On the first day it is.
At least, you can try to...
Sleeping in the hall isn't hard. Just try to sleep whenever you feel tired, and if you can't sleep, then just stay up ;_)
you'll fall asleep *eventually*
And.. I've also noticed best time to sleep in the hall is between about 4AM - 9AM.

Just bring EARPLUGS. And go to the toilet before you climb into your sleeping bag. There nothing more annoying than waking up and having to dig yourself out of your cave under the table just to put away the last beer.
@knoeki :) : you also can just have a few drinks more ...
the magic is to find the time-window between coma and sleeping well on a party place !
Its working for me perfectly since years ! I never had a problem to sleep in BP partyplace

Don't tell anyone, but the stage is the best place to sleep. But don't stay near the monitors, or else kb will attack you acoustically in the morning.
secret desire.

I'm asking myself instead: "Will there be another Springtime for Hitler performance in the middle of the night" xD
Bring your old Amiga disks (with scene stuff) to Breakpoint for archiving and get a beer:
As I'm doing some work for AMP (Amiga Music Preservation) and Bitworld, which could be considered the two main archives of the Amiga Scene, I ask you to bring your old Amiga disks in order to secure any oldschool scene material not present in the archives. It is my experience that every collection has a little (or more) to add to the internet archives. So please, bring anything and everything - disks aren't
all that durable.
I will bring my nicely working Amiga 1200 to Breakpoint, along
with a screen and the necessary hardware to transfer any files to my laptop (PCMCIA cards etcetera), and onto amigascne.org (if we are talking demos).
For your trouble, I will provide you with (at least) one free beer, and of course copy the diskimages onto the media you prefer, so you have them yourself as well.
How to find me? Well, I shall be bringing a perticularly yellow A1200, and will probably sit among some other danes, if I'm not outside, where the real party is - in that case, search Curt Cool at slengpung,
I shouldn't be THAT difficult to recognize. Or ask them to call for me at the reception.
Feel free to write me at curtcool+at+depth+dot+org if you have any questions.

To save mess in the toilets and people pissing on the lawn, may I suggest renting some of theese:
Seems apple are sponsoring them. :)(
Think of all the nice conversations 3 people can have while taking a piss :D
piss piss piss....you like piss? you?

Hey, that's Leidseplein in Amsterdam.
Those things are fantastic until they are full and toppled, then all hell breaks loose..

and if people puke in them it makes concentrating to peeing rather difficult. but nevertheless those are handy!
I find it a good idea as well :_)
Maybe this is an odd request I'm not sure... but I think the interest in formula 1 is pretty big in germany so maybe not...
The malaysian race will be on at 10.00 or 11.00 CET (I'm not sure about time zones) during breakpoint (qualifying saturday and race sunday). Would there be possible to have the race on a telly by the tents by any chance? Would be superb to have a beer and watch the qualifying/race at bp!
If not, I'm staying at the hotel to watch it and btw, if you are interested to join me, please just tell me so (NH hotel).

Can't you give up F1 for just a weekend and enjoy breakpoint instead? ;_)
RACERS might be interested... KKIMMI^NE perhaps too, but he says he needs to finish a new NEXTEMPIRE demo first...
no. especially when two events hardly collide. there is nothing going on during 11.00 to 13.00 that I know of which is more important to me than f1.
Heh, I don't mind, I wasn't being serious. I'm not into it, but if other people like it and it doesn't disturb any schedule, who am I to complain? ;_)
thec, if you bring a TV probably nobody will stop you from watching F1.
Ok I'm staying in the hotel then.
