Ok, looking back at the thread, it appears that everyone here believes that I am The Humanoid. I'm sure it would insult my cousin, who hates my guts and vice-versa, to know that he's being compared to me.

Anyways, it looks like the 'scene' hasn't changed at all since the 90's. Have fun coding your way into a relationship with a member of the opposite gender or into a productive social life.

Well, if you would've done your homework you would've recognised that f.e. at last years Breakpoint about 5 ( right? dunno exactly) cute little "results" of social intercourse were playing on the meadow and lighting up the hearts of the other visitors.

Y'know, at the end of the day, all I was looking for was an answer like :

- A screensaver's purpose is simply to make sure that there is no burn-in on a screen and sometimes to entertain whereas a demo is usually an exhibition of one's ability to work as a team to the best of each's ability to demonstrate what can be done within a limited space or with limited resources.

Instead, people chose to attack my person prompting me to defend myself as well as my intentions.

It's hard to see anyone here as anything other than a geek if they are so fucking sensitive about their demos and the scene. 'Oh my God! He might be attacking our beloved realm! Let's band together and attack!'

A demo is truly totally fucking worthless in the big picture.

But so is 22 men running after a small ball while being paid millions.
Or some drunk/stoner/heroin addict/whatever playing music or painting pictures.
Or making movies.

Or the even more useless people who spend their days playing computergames.
Or the small girls running after popstars and gossiping about who in the boyband they would like to loose their virginity to.
Or the drunk fucks spending their time and money at a bar.
Or people posting stuff on 4chan, the useless image thread, writing on pouet,etc.
Or the people browsing facebook for various reasons.

Seriously.. our world is mostly really fucking useless in so many ways..

Atleast the demoscene has trained a generation of smart people in getting things done and challanging yourself and others while trying to blast the limits of contemporary techniques and hopefully a few of those will have a better outset on actually changing the world in a good way.

But yeah, demos are useless.
