Some 24 hours later:
175 ppl registered!

i think it's due time for a windows-only demoparty.
The really frightening part is this:
Though I suspect that means 36 people work on demos, not 36 demos by 36 groups.
Quote:
Expected Compo Entries
036 - Demo
024 - Graphics
029 - Music
141 - Nothing
Though I suspect that means 36 people work on demos, not 36 demos by 36 groups.
Actually it's based on the number of groups wanting to release a demo..
(But still it doesn't make much sense - like in 2006, 4 groups joined forces to do 'The Wild Bunch'.)
@Skrebbel, don't be bitter ;)

37 different groups are planning a demo now...
Almost sounds like we're back in the 80ties.

Weird thing is, I've chosen I was not going to participate demo compo even there is a chance that I do. So, 37 is a huuuge number. Even if 10 groups wouldn't bring a demo that they promised, people like myself may carry it back to the expected numbers.
I wouldn't expect even half of the groups who say they're going to compete with a demo to actually bring a demo... Still, it's undeniably looking good. :-)
Ah, it's all just statistics.. and honestly, amount doesn't matter... the quality of the productions themselves does :_)
