Breakpoint 2010 - Like there is no tomorrow
category: parties [glöplog]
Puryx, that sounds scary.... damn it.
Is jennifer SOOOO looking forward to that final COCK?
iq: I think you interpreting it in a wrong way :D, what I meant was that I wanted to collect as many happy danes for the bus-ride to Breakpoint as possible :)
And here I was thinking "man it sucks I can't make it this year, but I'll be there in 2011 for sure".. Fuckings to you all ;)
Sad news, but I guess it was to be expected. But for new, let's just look forward to BP2010 and enjoy this beautiful party one more time!
BTW: I've noticed that there will be no tracked music compo again - I would be willing to organize an unofficial tracked music compo, like AceMan did last year.

Makes me happy and sad.
If this is indeed the last BP, then I'm gonna go, no matter what.

saga: contact us and we can arrange something :)
The demoscene is soo dying.
looking forward to it :)
Well, I am happy to be part of another Breakpoint but also sad to be the last one. So let us make this party to be the greatest ever and keep it in memory.
Will there be a fancy "money-meter" like last year? :)
does this mean that we should all go to norway in 2011?
Den Danske Bustrip til Norge i 2011!
I suppose it's more or less same route as the one we take to Solskogen (Århus -> Frederikshavn -> Sverige -> Norge)

Breakpoint 2010 is going to be our final event
Is it possible to know why? :(
I'll be forced to spend easter 2011 with my family! :/
...unless you organize a followup party!
I think you BP orgas should organize an in-party event (like the group seeking event in the last bp) to seek out new potential party orgas, so they can meet and see if they are able/willing to do the next easter demoparty.

Is it possible to know why you just haven't read why on the website?
xTr1m: I think that's a *great* idea.
Also it would be nice to get a full breakdown from the organizers of what it takes financially do what is done. Has something like this been published already? I guess if the organizers themselves are staying for X days afterward to clean, that there is a loss or maybe enough money to cover costs when all is said and done? I'd be interested in checking out the financials of such an event, and others as well if they're available.
BTW pseudo-related, what was the reason that MS/BP ended up being moved from that lovely location at Fallingbostel years ago?

wad: reasons for moving from fallingbostel: a) the hall rent went up enormously from 2001 to 2002, and they wanted to substantially increase it again for 2003. b) you need a special permit to organize public events over easter. to get it, you need some contacts to local politics, and the guy in the MS team who did (hardball) didn't return for BP - and was in fact the main reason for the MS main organizer team splitting in the first place.
