nicestep, there's hesburgers at least in finland,estonia,latvia and germany. might be some other countries as well but those are the places where i've seen one.

We will be accepting remote entries (especially want to get entries from the European scene, but anyone who can't make it is welcome); thank you to all the folks who expressed interest! ( :

Once we have the detailed rules and categories put together I'll make a post here as well as on demoscene.us (the initial party post there will be coming soon too).

FYI, the party is June 18-20 2010. We may make the remote entries deadline a little bit earlier than onsite entries so we can make sure everyone's stuff runs okay and iron out any issues. We have a variety of machines on hand already (we'll post which ones when we've finished testing the last of them) and emulators can also handle some other stuff . . . .

And yes, I'm aware of the PAL/NTSC issue (all our Commodores are NTSC) but that's what emulators are for I figure.

then again, i don't think i'd cough up the plane costs "just" for a demoparty over the pond. us europeans are kind of spoiled that way :-)

be sure to keep promoting it like mad, both in the demoscene and "just outside it" (tech universities, art places, etc. in the neighbourhood). talk to the blockparty guys, i believe they've gotten the scene+surroundings promo thing worked out pretty well, they may have some experiences to share.
