I've never been to hungary before. Just checked the cheap airline flights... from frankfurt to budapest I can only arrive at 22:00, and from budapest to frankfurt I must depart at ~7:30, so I'd need to come a day earlier and depart a day later. I'd probably sleep on the party place since I don't have the money for a hotel.

xTr1m: don't worry, hungarians are in fact very generous, I am sure you'll be able to crash at someone's place. in 2006 we did so.
there should be an option for cheapo tickets from frankfurt although i dont know if you are able to buy them in germany. ask around about "sparnight" tickets.
