We also have 2 dogs here (and sometimes a few guest dogs), so no idea how it would get along with them. Won't the girlfriend look after it?

Yes, the price sucks. Sadly, I have absolutely no control over that. To cut a long story short, it's organised through a 'union'. I hate the fact it's 50 euros and that I can't do anything about it. Believe me, I really do.
That doesn't mean that I'm going to try EVERYTHING in my power to make this party absolutely, definitely worth the ticket price. I'm gonna push the boat out a little and have some 'surprises' for those that attend to make it all worth while.
If I plan to have this next year, I plan to break away from this 'union' crap and organise something entirely independent with my own set prices etc. It's getting in the way and is proving to be really stressful when people tell me they can't pay that amount and that I can't lower it. It sucks, big time. Unfortunately at the moment, I just have to live with it.
That turned out to be a little more in-depth than I had hoped, but it's just skimming the top of the iceberg. There's much more to it. Hope you understand. :)

it is a little pricey, but still - outline was 45euro prepaid and 55 (iirc?) if you paid at the door, and it's a long party as well, with food included. Not completely unreasonable if you ask me! :)

Right, I have a solution for cTrix's ticket. I'll quickly tell you what happened;
The friendly folks at modarchive.org (mainly m0d) bought a ticket to be given to the tracked music compo winner at Evoke at the weekend just past. I remember cTrix discussing farmfest with someone near my table (saga_musix?) and said it sounded awesome and that he would possibly go. cTrix, who is from Australia, ended up winning the tracked music compo, and the donated farmfest ticket. I asked him just before leaving Evoke if he could make it and he said that he was going to London for a week from Germany, then back to Aus, so sadly wouldn't be able to make it due to bad timing.
So, I have a free ticket to give away. I've been thinking about what to do with it and I've realised the best idea is to have a fun compo at farmfest where the winner will win their ticket money back! At least then, it can be used for someone that is here, as opposed to someone that can't attend and the ticket getting wasted.
So, just to clarify; Fun compo - Winner gets their ticket money back. This is only for those that have paid for a full ticket. I'll announce the compo at the event. The compo will most likely be embarrassing, ridiculous, and completely hilarious. I'm brewing up some good ideas in my head already.
