anyway, back on topic. I tested the Audiere example app which they have and what I noticed is that there is a slight delay between clicking Play and hearing the sound. BASS has no such thing. In fact, using BASS, I can manually adjust loops, by simply hitting a key at the right time. I wonder if this is an Audiere issue or maybe the example is just not as good.

Sounds like a buffer issue. Don't know if you can adjust buffer sizes in audiere.
