Saw part of it in a Stepmania simfile pack.

Other than an Eaglesoft cracktro on C64, it was Panic by Future Crew. I just wanted something cool for my soundblaster so a family friend with a BBS gave it to me and started the avalanche!
RedSector Megademo guess around 1989 ! at least its the one I remember most cause watched it a milli times !
2ndreal i think. and then stars.
same for me - 2ndreal was first :)
(in case we don't count the commodore stuff in)
.
I guess it was Crystal Dream 2 by Triton.
Pretty difficult to answer that question... I guess it was THIS ONE.
hmm i remember digdream, prolly not the first though
A neighbour of mine had an A500 and there I saw the Triangle Gigademo 3 , a really mindblasting experience back then
@decca: I think I can guess which neighbour you're talking about - probably the one which sold me this very A500 later to get a more *cough* "serious" computer (PC). :)
First demo I remember? In the broadest sense this must be some stuff I hacked myself on my father's ZX81 before knowing anything about demos at all. Sort of flip book animation experiments, but on computer instead of paper, much more fascinating of course.
Later I discovered other people seemed to share this kind of fascination, when watching cracktros on a classmate's C64. The first prod which certainly deserves to be called "demo" probably is some Amiga one with lots of vectorballs and copperbars (one of the millions of them). I wish I could remember the name. The vectorballs change into eagles or bats or dragons at some time... If anyone has a guess which demo this could be, speak out! Some golden cheesy stuff for sure.

I really can't recall which one it was.. it's been a long time and my memory fails me.. but it must have been one of the following:
Megademo by Budbrain
Digital Innovation by Anarchy
Newtek Demoreel
The Fantastic Art of Tobias Richter by Crusaders
Third Dimension by Cryptoburners
Amazing Tunes 2 by Share and Enjoy
